SHIP DEMOLITION

Ship demolition activity was started in Aliaga Ship Dismantling Area on 2 plots in 2002. During the last 10 years of ship recycling operation, Simsekler Yard was rarely without a ship due the financial strength of the company.

Maximum monthly output of the yard up until 2011 was 3000-3500 tonnes. Simsekler recycling facility reached its highest volume of recycled tonnage which is 50.035 LDT in 2012.

All of Ship Recycling operations in our yard are in accordance with ILO - IMO - Basel Convention guidelines, national legislation and relevant regulations.

Ship Demolition facility owns:
- A 160 ton capacity PH crane
- A 130 ton capacity Link Belt crane
- A 75 ton capacity American Hoist crane (tires)
- A 21.5 ton capacity Garnwodd crane
- A Hitachi 280 LCH3 Excavator (attached with a Kenmerken WHS/3, a 6.5 ton shear) - A Hitachi ZW220 loader (tires) - A Volvo L45B loader (tires)
- A Hyundai R200W-7 Excavator (attached with a 3m3 hydraulic grab) (tires)
- Two BMC trucks (12 ton capacity) working within the confines of the yard.
